DAY 1: HOME | LONDON
  • Board your transatlantic flight and fly through the night to London.

DAY 2: LONDON
  • Welcome to the United Kingdom! Meet your Forum by Prometour  Director upon arrival at the airport.

  • Transfer to your hotel to drop off your luggage, check-in will be done later.

  • While in London, travel as the locals do, by walking or taking public transportation.

  • Guided visit of Westminster Abbey, where English Royalty have been crowned since 1066.

  • Meet your local guide for a fascinating journey through streets, alleyways, inn yards and riverside paths that were well known to both Dickens and Shakespeare.

  • Explore the Charles Dickens Museum and see the world’s most important collection relating to this novelist and social campaigner.

  • Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight accommodation in London.

DAY 3: LONDON
  • Have breakfast at your hotel and then visit the  British Library.

  • Enter the Sherlock Holmes Museum – a privately-run museum dedicated to the famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes.

  • Explore the state rooms and grand halls of Buckingham Palace.

  • Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight accommodation in London.

DAY 4: LONDON| BATH | sTRATFORD-UPON-AVON
  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Board your bus and travel to Bath.

  • Upon arrival, visit the Jane Austen Center – celebrating Bath’s most famous resident. The centre offers a snapshot of what it would be like to live in the Regency times, The fashion, food, society, everything that would have inspired Austen’s timeless novels.

     

  • After lunch, take a walking tour of the Bath. See Pulteney Bridge, Sydney House, where Austen lived with her parents, and the Georgian splendors of the Royal Crescent and the Circus.

  • Continue your route to Stratford-upon-Avon.

  • Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight accommodation in the Stratford area.

DAY 5: STRATFORD-UPON-AVON
  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and visit  the home of the most quoted playwright in the world, Stratford-Upon-Avon.

  • Visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace, the house where he was born in 1564, and wander through the Shakespeare Exhibition.

  • Visit the oldest public library in the English-speaking world,  Chetham’s Library.

  • Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight accommodation in Manchester.

DAY 6: MANCHESTER | LAKE DISTRICT
  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and visit the Bronte Parsonage Museum – the largest and most important in the world and continue to inspire scholars, writers and artists.

  • board your bus and travel to the Lake District.

  • Stop at Sarah Nelson’s Grasmere Gingerbread Shop to taste their famous gingerbread!

  • Enjoy some leisure time the charming English village of Grasmere, which William Wordsworth called “the loveliest spot that man hath ever found”.

  • Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight accommodation in the Lake District region.

DAY 7: LAKE DISTRICT | DUMFRIES
  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and visit the Beatrix Potter Museum and learn all about the Peter Rabbit famed author!

  • Explore the village of Windermere at your own pace, enjoy the lake shore!

  • Board your bus and travel to Dumfries.

  • Enter the Robert Burns Center and learn about the famed poet. He spent the final years of his life in Dumfries and the exhibition has many of his original manuscripts and belongings.

  • Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight accommodation in Dumfries.

DAY 8: DUMFRIES | EDINBURGH
  • Breakfast at the hotel and board your bus and travel to Edinburgh.

  • Enjoy lunch on your own upon arrival. Then follow a local guide on a literary tour of Edinburgh – go on the footsteps on Sir Conan Arthur Doyle, J.K. Rowling, Robert Louis Stevenson and more!

  • Visit to Edinburgh Castle and Palace of Holyrood house.

     

  • Stop at The Traverse Theatre Café where JK Rowling wrote most of her Harry Potter books!

  • Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight accommodation in Edinburgh.

DAY 9: EDINBURGH | HOME
  • Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport.

  • Say a fond farewell to your Forum Prometour Manager.

  • Board your transatlantic flight from Edinburgh and fly back home.
