DAY 1: USA | FRANCE
Fly overnight to Paris.
DAY 2: PARIS
Bienvenue en France! Upon arrival, your Forum Tour Manager will meet you at the airport and remain with your group for the length of your stay.
Transfer to your hotel to drop off your luggage.
Stroll down the most famous avenue of the capital, the Champs-Elysées.
Climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe to admire the view. See the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Enjoy dinner in a typical brasserie parisienne.
Afterward, board a glass-topped bateau mouche (riverboat) and enjoy an evening cruise on the Seine River.
DAY 3: PARIS
After breakfast, take a guided tour of the Musée du Louvre, the world´s largest art museum, featuring Da Vinci´s iconic Mona Lisa.
Stop at a local boulangerie and learn how the famous French baguettes are made! Choose from one of their mouth-watering sandwiches for lunch.
Later, explore the Île de la Cité, see the iconic Cathédrale Notre-Dame and visit the Sainte-Chapelle, a breathtaking Gothic-style chapel built in 1238.
For dinner, enjoy a traditional savory crêpe at a local crêperie.
Walk through the Trocadéro and view “la Ville Lumière” from the third floor of the Eiffel Tower.
DAY 4: VERSAILLES
After breakfast, visit the marché d’Aligre, a fun and very lively market dating back to 1777.
Then, take the RER train to Versailles.
Enjoy a guided visit of the Chateau de Versailles. Walk in the footsteps of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette as you visit the opulent Grand Apartments, the Opera and the Hall of Mirrors.
Have some a free time for a picnic lunch, then explore the elegantly landscaped gardens on a rented bicycle!
Return by RER to Paris and head to the highest point in the city, Montmartre (known locally as La Butte). Climb the steps to reach the Sacré-Cœur, Montmartre’s hilltop church and most famous landmark.
Enjoy a savoyarde fondue dinner in Montmartre.
DAY 5: PARIS
After breakfast, meet your group and visit the magnificent Musée d’Orsay, housed in a beautiful former railway station, to see its extensive collection of 19th- and 20th-century paintings, sculptures, architecture and literature.
Then, head to explore the Marais Quarter, which takes its name from the marshes on which it was originally built.
Enjoy some free time at Les Halles for shopping.
Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Tonight, head to the Manoir de Paris for a haunted interactive show bringing to life the legends of Paris: you will meet the man with the iron mask, Quasimodo, the phantom of the opera, and more… goosebumps and fun guaranteed.
DAY 6: PARIS
After breakfast, take a guided tour of the Palais Garnier, one of the most famous opera houses in the world and the inspiration for Leroux’s The Phantom of the Opera.
Later learn the 3000-year history of perfume making at the Parfumerie Fragonard. See the miniature factory which includes a 19th-century distilling apparatus and demonstrates methods for extracting raw materials.
In the afternoon, head to Latin Quarter for a picnic lunch in the Jardins du Luxembourg.
For a glimpse into French university life, take a tour of La Sorbonne, one of the oldest and most famous universities in France. Founded in 1253, it began as a college for just 16 students to study theology and was named for King Louis IX’s confessor.
Enjoy a farewell group dinner with your Tour Manager.
DAY 7: DEPART
Today, say a fond “au revoir!” to your Forum Tour Manager and transfer by private bus to the airport for your return flight home.
