DAY 1: USA | SPAIN
  • Fly overnight to sunny Málaga, Spain. The birthplace of Pablo Picasso and capital of the Costa del Sol, Málaga boasts more than 2,800 years of history and 300 days of sunshine. Just a 10-minute walk from the beach, its historic city center acts an “open museum” displaying archaeological remains and monuments from the Phoenician, Roman, Arabic and Christian eras. ​

DAY 2: MÁLAGA​
  • ¡Bienvenidos a España! A Forum Representative will meet you at the airport and help you transfer to your language school.​ Meet your host families and get settled in.​

  • While living with a host family, you will be fully immersed in Spanish culture as you share traditional Spanish meals, practice your language skills daily, and experience life as a true local!​

  • Enjoy your first dinner with your host family.​

DAYS 3 – 7: SPANISH CLASSES & CULTURAL ACTIVITIES ​
  • After breakfast at home, attend morning Spanish classes.

  • In the afternoon, participate in a variety of cultural activities, including: a guided tour of historica Málaga and the Alcazaba, a visit to the Picasso Museum, a paella cooking workshop, and a flamenco dance class.

  • Return to your host family for dinner and night accommodation.​

​DAY 8: DAY TRIP TO SEVILLE
  • After breakfast at home, board your private bus to Seville.​

  • Begin your day with a guided tour of the lavish Real Alcázar, the royal palace of both Moorish and Christian rulers for 11 centuries.

  • Next, visit the monumental Catedral de Sevilla, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and claimed resting place of Christopher Columbus.

  • Climb to the top of the Giralda, originally constructed as a minaret during the Moorish period, for spectacular 360º views of the city.​

  • Enjoy some free time for lunch in the Santa Cruz Quarter and explore the narrow streets and alleys of the old Judería (Jewish quarter).​

  • End your day in the dazzling Plaza de España. Marvel at the intricate tiled alcoves, each representing a Spanish province.

  • Return to Málaga for dinner and night accommodation with your host family.​

DAY 9: DAY TRIP TO GRANADA​
  • After breakfast with your host family, meet your Forum Tour Manager and board your private bus to Granada.​

  • Upon arrival, enter the magnificent Alhambra, where the Sultan of Granada reigned until 1492 when the Kingdom of Granada fell to “Los Reyes Católicos,” ending 780 years of Muslim rule on the Iberian peninsula. ​

  • Take a guided tour through the Alcazaba (the fortress), the Nasrid Palaces, Charles V’s Palace, and the Generalife (gardens). ​

  • Have some free time for lunch, then follow your Tour Manager through the winding streets of the Albaycin quarter and up the “calle de las teterías,” lined with tea rooms. ​

  • Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Alhambra palace and snow-cappped Sierra Nevada Mountains from the Mirador San Nicolás.​

  • Return to Málaga for dinner and night accommodation with your host family.​

DAY 10: SCHOOL VISIT & CAMINITO DEL REY​
  • After breakfast with your host family, meet your Forum Tour Manager and spend the morning at a local high school. Take a tour of the school, participate in classes, then join in a “fútbol” match or practice your Spanish as you connect with your new peers. ​

  • After some free time for lunch, hike the scenic Caminito del Rey (the King’s little pathway) built for King Alfonso XIII in 1921. The path, about two miles long, traverses the vertical walls of the gorge, 350 feet above the ground!​

  • Return for dinner and night accommodation with your host family.​​​

DAYS 11 -14: SPANISH CLASSES & ACTIVITIES
  • After breakfast at home, attend your morning Spanish classes followed by lunch. ​

  • In the afternoon, participate in a variety of activities, including: attending a flamenco show, paddle surfing or tubing, and a cultural and architectural scavenger hunt​.

  • Dinner and night accommodation with your host family.​

​DAY 15: DEPART
  • After breakfast, say a fond “¡adiós!” to your host family and transfer by private bus to the airport for your return flight home. ​
