8 Days — 6 Nights
DAY 1: DEPART
  • Fly overnight to Paris, France.

DAY 2: PARIS | LISSES
  • Bienvenue à Paris! Meet your Forum Tour Manager at the airport.

  • Transfer by private bus to Paris. Take a stroll down the most famous avenue of the capital, the Champs-Elysées, and climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe to admire the view.

  • Later, board your bus to Lisses/Bondoufle and meet your host family.

  • Dinner and night accommodation with your host family.

DAY 3: CHARTRES
  • This morning after breakfast, board your private bus and depart for Chartres in the Loire Valley, referred to as the “Cradle of the French” and the “Garden of France” due to its abundance of vineyards and fruit orchards along the Loire River.

  • Follow your Tour Manager on a walking tour around the historical centre of Chartres and discover the picturesque streets with their ancient half-timbered houses and old bridges.

  • Meet your specialist local guide visit the impressive Chartres Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Marvel at the 8,000 square feet of stained glass lighting up the heart of the nave.

  • Next, visit the Centre international du Vitrail and attend a stained-glass workshop! Learn about the different stages of designing stained-glass and the techniques of medieval and contemporary stained-glass artists.

  • Return to your host family for dinner and night accommodation

DAY 4: VERSAILLES
  • After breakfast with your host family, depart by private private bus to Versailles – the extravagant palace built for the Sun King.

  • Upon arrival, enjoy a guided visit of Le Potager du Roi (the king’s garden), which produced vegetables and fruits for the court starting in the 1600s.

  • Afterward, put on your aprons and roll up your sleeves for a pastry class!

  • After, enjoy brunch with your group.

  • In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the Château de Versailles and walk in the footsteps of Louis XVI, Marie-Antoinette and Presidents Jefferson and Wilson.

  • Later, explore the elegantly landscaped gardens.

  • Return to your host family for dinner and night accommodation.

DAY 5: PARIS
  • After breakfast with your host family, take the RER into Paris.

  • Visit the Musée du Louvre, the world’s largest art museum, featuring Da Vinci’s iconic Mona Lisa.

  • Free time for lunch in the lively Quartier Latin!

  • Later, explore the Île de la Cité and stand before the iconic Cathédrale Notre-Dame.

  • Stop at Glace Berthillon to sample the best ice cream in Paris!

  • Next, enter the Sainte-Chapelle, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture built by the pious Louis IX in the 13th century.

  • Return to Lisses for dinner and night accommodation with your host family.

DAY 6: PARIS
  • After breakfast at home, take the RER into Paris.

  • Visit a local school where you will have the opportunity to meet local students.

  • Enjoy free time for lunch.

  • This afternoon, spend some time at Trocadéro Square before you board a glass-topped bateau mouche (river boat). Enjoy a refreshing cruise on the Seine.

  • Then, get ready to discover “la Ville Lumière,” or City of Light, from the third floor of the Eiffel Tower.

  • Return to Lisses for dinner and night accommodation with your host family.

DAY 7: PARIS
  • After breakfast, take the RER into Paris.

  • Visit the magnificent Musée Rodin, a museum opened in 1919, dedicated to the works of the French sculptor Auguste Rodin.

  • Enjoy some free time for some last-minute souvenir shopping and to explore the city at your own pace.

  • Then, head up to the highest point in Paris: Montmartre (known locally as La Butte). Climb the steps to reach the Sacré-Cœur, Montmartre’s hilltop church and most famous landmark.

  • Return to Lisses for dinner and night accommodation with your host family.

DAY 8: RETURN
  • After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
