8 Days — 7 Nights
DAY 1: USA | COSTA RICA
  • Fly to San José, Costa Rica.

  • ¡Bienvenidos! Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your local Forum Tour Manager who will remain with your group for the duration of your tour.

  • Transfer by private bus to Alajuela, a small village 18 miles northwest of San José and about ten minutes from the Juan Santamaría International Airport.

  • Check in at your hotel and enjoy a welcome fruit cocktail and dinner.

DAY 2: community service
  • After breakfast at your hotel, head to a local school and spend the day volunteering on a service project. Projects vary depending on the needs of the school community but can include: painting, repair work, or creating green spaces.

  • Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant.

  • Continue with your service project in the afternoon.

  • Return to your hotel for dinner and night accommodation.

DAY 3: community service
  • After breakfast at your hotel, head to a nearby orphanage and spend the day volunteering on a service project.

  • After a break for lunch, continue wtith your service project in the afternoon.

  • Dinner and night accommodation at your hotel.

DAY 4: LA FORTUNA WATERFALLS | BALDI HOT SPRINGS
  • After breakfast, discover the hidden secrets of La Fortuna Waterfall.

  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

  • This afternoon, navigate the 14 hanging bridges that line the paths of Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park. Look out for birds, monkeys, sloths, and frogs as you walk suspended above gorges and the jungle floor!

  • Spend the afternoon relaxing at Baldi Hot Springs. These natural springs and geysers are the result of the volcanic activity of Mount Arenal.

  • Dinner and night accommodation at your hotel.

DAY 5: MONTEVERDE HORSEBACK & ZIPLINE
  • After breakfast at your hotel, head to Monteverde, a lush green mountain town nestled in the northern region of the Tilarán Mountains and considered one of the top ecotourism destinations in the world.

  • Have lunch at a local restaurant.

  • This afternoon, take in the scenic views while horseback riding.

  • Later, go on a canopy zip-line tour — 70% of life in the tropical forest takes place at the tree canopy level, and you´ll see it up close and personal as you fly via zip-line through the forest, from platform to platform, built on 60- and 90-foot trees.

  • Dinner and night accommodation at your hotel.

DAY 6: community service
  • After breakfast at your hotel, head to the Macaw Sanctuary NATUWA, dedicated to creating a place that provides shelter and protection for wildlife, such as: ocelots, tapirs, monkeys, jaguars and other exotic animals that cannot return to their natural environment. Take part in a volunteer service.

  • After lunch at a local restaurant, drive to Jaco.

  • Dinner and night accommodation at your hotel.

DAY 7: MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK
  • This morning after breakfast, head out to explore Costa Rica’s most biologically diverse national park, the Manuel Antonio National Park and spend the entire day exploring. Although it is Costa Rica’s smallest national park, the breathtaking beauty and diversity of wildlife is unparalleled.

  • Take a pause from your exploration to enjoy your boxed lunch.

  • Spend the afternoon on the beautiful white beaches of the park.

  • Transfer to Alajuela for dinner and night accommodation at your hotel.

DAY 8: DEPART
  • After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport and say “¡Hasta luego!” to your Forum Tour Manager before boarding your return flight home.
